Omelettes and Herbs in the Bathtub!

Omelettes and Herbs in the Bathtub!

So since breakfast yesterday I’ve actually been looking forward to making another omelette today. Lol. I remembered part way through my breakfast yesterday all the new herb plants I bought a few days ago that are sitting in the clawfoot tub on my porch. I have grand plans to plant them and make a beautiful container garden in the tub but first I want to move the tub which led to a conversation like this:

Me: You know that bathtub on the porch?

Ronan: Yes dear.

Me: (Thinking I need to sweeten my approach, when he says “dear” like that it’s never good) You know how you put it there with your big strong muscles? Do you think we could carry it through the living room and put it on the back porch?

Ronan: (silence)

Me: I’ll help of course!

Ronan: (silence)

I’m going to have to continue working on this one. If I plant the herbs in the tub on the front porch the dogs seem to think I’ve made a nice little herbal bed for them plus their is no protection from the cows or chickens coming in for a munch. I’m not sure what it is about moving a big ole cast iron tub that makes my husband give me the silent treatment.

Anyway back to the omelette- I whipped up some fresh eggs and some minced up rosemary, basil and thyme and cooked it up! Sprinkled with a little cheese and served with a glass of hot herbal tea, pretty delicioso if I do say so myself!

I bet your garden is cute in that tub! Love fresh herbs, we have rosemary in the front yard. 🙂

When I read your title it made me think of that Seinfeld episode where Kramer was cooking all of his food in the shower… while he bathed. Hahaha! Hard to beat a fresh omelette from home grown eggs, herbs… maybe some tomato… oooh… and avacado… excuse me, I think I hear a late lunch calling my name.
