Setback. Damn Universe.

28 Mar

The past week has been a wonderful one. I’ve been excitedly envisioning the amazingly cool first themed cabin here at Rock Creek after stumbling into an awesome deal on a vintage Travelite camper trailer last weekend that I’d planned to get and remodel. This has involved lots of Pinterest pinning. My friend Terror giving me lots of great ideas for putting it all together and my friend JulieAnne over at the Unruly Farmette trying to keep me grounded on the legal aspects of opening an RV park and campground.

All of this has really allowed me to escape the realities of aforementioned “freedom” from work (see previous post) and really lit my fire about something again.

Then tonight when I got home from work I could tell the hubby had bad news. Our rental house water heater had finally rotted out and caused a flood. Lots of damage, needs a new water heater, new plumbing, fixing the water damage…. $$$$

This all means there isn’t money to purchase new tires to put on the Travelite so that we can get here next week which is one of the conditions of being able to buy it is that it’s got to be moved really soon.

Sometimes it just seems like the cards are stacked against you. Damn Universe. Thanks to my buddy Ivy tonight for the delicious Milk Stout. There’s a tear in my beer for the awesomeness of the “haunted indian glamper that never was”.
