So awhile back I had stumbled upon an unbelievable deal on a vintage Travelite trailer and then all hell broke loose with our rental house and we became really broke and it looked like things weren’t going to work out.
This devastated me ya’ll. Getting fired hadn’t really gotten to me because I was moving forward with this crazy drive on a new project and then all of the sudden the rug was yanked out from under me and I didn’t feel like I was going anywhere with things. I tried not to make the hubby feel bad because it wasn’t his fault but lots of tears were shed quietly and softly while I tried to quit imagining what could have been.
Then everyone started being super sweet. My friends started trying to think of ways to help make it happen. Hubby’s boss offered to let him pay him back for materials for a side job at a later date. Hubby’s work helper dug up some used tires for the camper to get it home. Hubby unexpectedly got paid in full for a side job. The stars aligned and people were awesome and guess what came to Rock Creek Ranch today?
Isn’t it awesome??? Now I’ve got to decide on where to put it permanently and then think about how to proceed. My initial thought was to gut it completely and create two single bedroom cabin spaces. In light of the pink bathroom and pocket doors though I’m wondering if we should take a restoration approach. Ah the decisions!
It is such a classic, I’d renovate, keeping the period styling!
ASH!! I’m so excited. Let the adventure begin!! can’t wait to see it in person…haunted Indian cabin here I come!!
Think I’m with the young country philosopher on this one.
