Baby Goats! 1 of 2! Finally!

14 Apr

In my previous posts I’ve mentioned that we have to Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats that we have been waiting on to have babies. Due date was on the 10th and it’s been worse than Christmas waiting on the two first time moms to have their kids! It’s been up and down early in the morning and during the night all day long and nothing yet. Then this morning the first one, Marigold, gave birth to two adorable babies. A little doe and a little buck (which is perfect, we were hoping to have a little buck to keep for breeding) and they are tri-colored, healthy and adorable. Marigold has been an attentive and wonderful mother too. We’ve almost died from all of the cuteness. My son named the buck “Batman” and my daughter named the little doe “Sunflower”. Now I will load you up with photos of the goat adorableness and just let you enjoy. Image

We just purchased a homestead in Tennessee and are moving there from Sicily in June. I am wondering if it is possible to purchase your kids if you have more later in the year.

We are actually planning to keep these to expand our own herd but I can highly recommend several wonderful breeders here in New Mexico that we got our own Nigerian and LaManchas from! One even ships which might be great for you! Send me an email to!

They are the sweetest little things ever! We have goats, but just male ones that are pets so no babies. We love our goats!
